Many thanks to everyone who generously donated to keep Best Gore on line and improve it with new features. We are now only a little over a day away from the end of the campaign and are, at the time of this post, still $125 short of meeting our goal.
Because of the way Indiegogo works, if we don’t meet our goal by reaching or exceeding $1,800 in collected funds, we’ll incur a 9% fee, as opposed to a 4% fee applied to campaigns that do meet or exceed their goal.
Translated into exact figures – if the goal is met, our Indiegogo + credit card processor (3%) fees will add up to $126. The the goal is not met, the fees will grow to $201 or more. In other words – $125 shortage in donations results in $200 shortage in earnings (less for Best Gore, more for Indiegogo).
So here’s last call for donations and our one more plea to help us avoid the higher fee. We only need $125 more to get there. Comon Best Gore, let’s not give haters the reason to mock us for not being able to collect $1,800 to keep the site going strong.
UPDATE
Thank you so much to the community for stepping up and making the campaign a success. The funds have been collected, we’re now waiting for them to be transferred to Mark’s bank account who will personally overlook the spendings so not a penny is used in any way other than promised. We will not find out until after the funds have been transferred whether the transfer itself incurred any additional charges.
Once the funds are available, we’ll hire a programmer to write our custom scripts and will keep you up to date with how the work is progressing on an individual page.
